The Best Time for a Han River Picnic

Season, time of day, and day of the week all change the experience more than you'd expect — here's how to pick a slot that matches what you want.

There's no single best time — there's a best time for what you want out of the afternoon.

By season

Late spring and early autumn are the most comfortable — warm enough to sit out, cool enough that shade isn't essential. Summer evenings are popular but humid; go later and lean on a Night Picnic set. Winter picnics are quieter and cold-weather-hardy visitors are rewarded with empty lawns and clear skies.

By time of day

Golden hour — roughly the hour before sunset — is the single most requested window, and books up first on weekends. Early evening through dusk is busiest overall. Late night, after most families have left, suits couples and quieter groups.

By day of week

Weekday evenings are noticeably calmer than weekends. If your schedule is flexible, a Tuesday or Wednesday picnic gets you more space for the same set.
